******UNAUTHORIZED VIEWING WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE TERMINATION
The following briefing has been assembled for the viewing of Executive Director and higher.
Please be aware that our efforts to mine titanium deposits in the Johannesburg DMZ are currently being disrupted by an ongoing terrorist operation. Current intel points toward a heavily armed PMC, Lionguard, being brought on to foment chaos amidst the process chain. They have sent a team of black ops mercenaries colloquially calling themselves “The Morlocks”. Sometimes called the “Mole Men” by our own agents.
The following is what we can tell about their gear and tactics.
The Mole Men make appearances at strategic points within our mines. Near as we can tell they are using the following gear-
- Firearms:
- They use compact, sub/machine guns, ideal for moving through our tight tunnels.
- From shell casings, and first hand reports, we’ve detected FN P90s, H&C G36C, even CZ Scorpions.
- All of these weapons are easily obtainable from local warlord “Black Grain”
- Drills:
- They are using local goods (EarthWarren Equipment, AtlasTopCo, GoodRock Drills) to supplement their operations.
- We have checked with our suppliers and they deny assisting any military agents against us, or double dealing. Trust is 70%.
- Although not opening new tunnels, they are able to exploit weaknesses in our existing tunnels. Using this equipment, they have (as of this briefing) been responsible for three cave-ins.
- They are using local goods (EarthWarren Equipment, AtlasTopCo, GoodRock Drills) to supplement their operations.
- Explosives.
- Blast radius suggests that they are using C4 (or another RDX product) as an explosive agent. Although we have found evidence of more controlled ANFO based explosives.
- This is our biggest clue to their PMC nature, as these are not easily obtainable by Black Grain. He claims he doesn’t like explosives. Bad for the landscape…
- Blast radius suggests that they are using C4 (or another RDX product) as an explosive agent. Although we have found evidence of more controlled ANFO based explosives.
Our other largest clue is from reports of the Mole Men’s attacks on our mines. Though they have positioned themselves as local “Freedom Fighters”, survivors have reported hearing them speaking in Belgian, and French. They attack in three man teams, easily overwhelming the guards we’ve hired from local militia forces. All of this speaks to heavy amounts of training and precision.
In the next 17 pages, we will lay out our proposal for increased security and countermeasures, as well as options for cutting off the PMC at the source.
